Avalon Garden Architecture was born from a deep admiration for the beauty, permanence and atmosphere of castle architecture.

We have long been drawn to the stonework, proportions and character of castles, towers, gatehouses, lodges and Gothic buildings - architecture that was designed not only to function, but to ensure, to inspire and to leave a lasting impression.

Our work began with castle-style garden walls and medieval-inspired stone interiors, and from there grew into a wider vision: to create distinctive garden buildings and architectural features that bring the same sense of history, romance and permanence into modern homes and landscapes.

Today, we create stone garden architecture inspired by the great traditions of the past - from lodges, keeps and roundhouses, to walls, gateways and bespoke architectural features.

Alongside this design direction, we also bring practical experience from the wider world of construction and housebuilding, giving us a strong understanding of how beautiful ideas are translated into real, well-built projects.

At the heart of Avalon is a genuine love for what we do. We are always open to bespoke commissions, and are equally excited by refining our own designs or helping bring entirely new ideas to life from scratch.

Our aim is simple: to create architecture with character - modern pieces of history, designed to feel as though they have always belonged.

Built from a love of timeless architecture

Why Avalon

The name Avalon comes from Arthurian legend - a place associated with beauty, craftsmanship, mystery and enduring legacy.

We chose it because it captures something of what we are trying to create: architecture that feels timeless, atmospheric and rooted in something deeper than the present moment.

Not fantasy, but a sense of history brought into the modern world.

For us, Avalon represents the meeting point between myth, landscape and architecture - and the belief that even today, it is still possible to create places that feel meaningful, romantic and lasting.
